Pompejus vs. Caesar Bug?

Thu Oct 04, 2012 7:27 am

Hi!

I played Pompejus in his struggle against Caesar. It was a quite easy, but it may have been a bug ;) I got all the legions in Spain AND in the east. Quite wired - I sent Pompiboy to Spain in the beginning. Soon the "Where do you want to send Pompejus" Event triggered - when Pompejus was in Spain already. I chose Spain.
A few turns later a "Do you want to stay in the east?" Event triggered. I've never been in the east in this game. However, even bevore the event the legions in the east were locked for only two more turns, so they would have been usable anyway, I guess.

At least I had all legions, and what I chose at the events didn't seem to have any effect. Well, half a dozen legions in Spain and all the legions of the east made it easy in a war of attrition to bring the Caesarian uprising down.

By the way: Events are a little... strange. In the Severus-scenario (playing as Severus) I chose "accept Albinus as Caesar". The next turn I got the news "War between Severus and Albinus, as Severus denied the title Caesar to Albinus". Ingame there was peace between me and Albinus. Seems the event was wrong connected. (german version).

Thanks for reporting. Are you able to post the files explained here (http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?25861-How-to-report-a-bug), for both scenarios ? (at least scriptreports ?)

Yes I also recognized this ... semms weird though. This message always pops up on the second turn regardless the option you choose ...

So, at least MY work is over now ;)

Here we go. The Save is from the Pompeius vs. Caesar scenario. By the way: I conquered EVERY city of Caesar and still got no victory screen. His moral never fell below 40. Shouldn't be, I guess (my poor troops made it to the german and english borders, taking everything on their way - still not enough).

Don't know if necessary, but concerning the weird Severus-Albinus event: Started a new game, got the same bug, and send you the log.

Do you have the scripts folder ?

And can you post, in german, the messages that you receive ?

Thanks

Äh, it's the log-folder. Need another folder?

In german it says "Krieg zwischen Clodius Albinus und Septimius Severus"

my goodness, the script folder ist awfully big... can I clean it from time to time? Or is it needed by the game?

edit: I can't upload the script folder. Too big, I guess...

I loaded it up at "workupload". Here is the link:
