Caesarian veterans aren't veterans?

Sun Sep 09, 2012 1:19 pm

I was checking Pompeian forces in the Caesar vs. Pompeius scenario, and noticed that the two understrength legions (I & III) in Corfinium who are called Caesar's veterans don't have any experience points. Surely they should?

there is much more in game than experience...
do you know any other game from AGEOD? it commonly works that way:

for different technologies and qualities of troops you have different models with different stats in their games. it is used to simulate the large gap between them, discipline, cohesion, attack quality...

on the otherside you can TRAIN this models to a higher degree (militia to a normal unit in AACW), they loose experience thereby but get better stats

finally, the experience makes them even more valuable
...not paid by AGEOD.
however, prone to throw them into disarray.

‘Everything is very simple in War, but the simplest thing is difficult. These difficulties accumulate and produce a friction which no man can imagine exactly who has not seen War . . . in War, through the influence of an infinity of petty circumstances, which cannot properly be described on paper, things disappoint us, and we fall short of the mark.‘
