Replacement for units from reinforcement screeen (F3)

Sun Mar 31, 2013 12:35 pm

Hi,

I'm currently playing the Severus scenario with patch 1.02a and historical attrition rules. I have a question about the unit that you "buy" with reinforcement screen (F3): How can you get back the missing elements for Equites Maurorum and Sarmatii Cataphractae? After they get damaged, the elements seems to recover like other elements in the game but if an element is destroyed, it seems you can't get it back even if you keep the unit several turns in a city with depot. For German bellatores there is a special faction in the production screen (F2) with the possibility to buy infantery replacements and the replacement of missing elements works like for every "normal" units but for Equites Maurorum and Sarmatii Cataphractae there is no special replacement to buy and regular Roman cavalry replacement apparently just cover the recovery of damages but not the missing elements.
Do I miss something or is this WAD?
Thanks in advance for any clarifications.

Cheers

F3 units are recruited by option, and are considered mercenaries. Generally, if you loose them, that's it. Depending on some conditions and dice rolls, new complete ones can be again recruited in F3 screen, after some time.

Many thanks for quick reply Franciscus.
That is what I was assuming but the recovery working for German bellatores that I get the same way made me unsure of my assumption! I need to care much more with these units, if I want to keep them in good shape. ;)
