When will the next patch appear?

Sat Oct 06, 2012 2:02 pm

When will the next patch appear? I guess it is time to apply several corrections that have been indicated in the forums and of course we are eagerly anticipating new scenarios!

At the earliest end of next week, if we have time to test it sufficiently

No. A patch fixes existing things. New scenarios will come as DLC / Expansion Packs. Nothing scheduled till end of year for the time being, except Spartacus that will be available as a DLC by the end of the month.

thats rather for modding, too small. but i love the idea ^^

remember BIRTH OF ROME is the background for the first expansion and they gave us already some information for potential content.
Its also not supposed to be available before 2013 if i can trust my memory
...not paid by AGEOD.
however, prone to throw them into disarray.

PS:

‘Everything is very simple in War, but the simplest thing is difficult. These difficulties accumulate and produce a friction which no man can imagine exactly who has not seen War . . . in War, through the influence of an infinity of petty circumstances, which cannot properly be described on paper, things disappoint us, and we fall short of the mark.‘

It was also mentioned that an Aurelain scenario is in the works... maybe we'll see that sooner than later?

I want to plead strongly to include in the upcoming DLCs scenarios that cover the later Roman Empire and the period of the barbarian invasions. Early Roman history, Punic wars and all that has already been extensively covered in more or less (particularly less!) historical games like TW Rome and Paradox's Rome.

Late antiquity and early Middle Ages are full of drama, dynamics and skull dudgery!

Well, I think we all certainly don't hope that Birth of Rome will be the last expansion for this game ;)
It think AJE is the perfect game for lots of expansions because unlike many of the other AGEOD games which are focused on a specific part of history the Roman Republic/Empire covers like.. A LOT of years and A LOT of wars.

...and a LOT of work for the dev team...so help for sure will be needed, otherwise production will be slow :)

Well I just got to say I'm really loving your game. Any and all expansion packs for this series will be bought by me. Excellent work and kudos to you all.

Epic game and perhaps the best yet from AGEOD.

The DLC I would most like to see in the future: The Campaigns of Belisarius.

Thank again to the AGEOD team, makers of the best computer wargames on the planet.

This. Everything about it is just right. Kudos to the team, and looking forward to the DLCs, patches and everything. Any chance we might get Spartacus as a DLC/free download some time in the future?

End of October if I recall correctly. I assume as a DLC, and I hope priced accordingly (it is a rather tiny scenario after all)

Couldn't agree with you more man. As you so succinctly noted, the republic and early empire period have been covered a lot already in other games, whereas the later Empire to the early Middle Ages has been largely ignored. I say half joking, and half seriously that we have Caesar, Shakespeare, and Hollywood to blame for the general public's fascination with the republican period. ;) I would add, however, that I daresay an AJE Punic Wars scenario(s) would be more historically accurate than anything else that has been done on those conflicts.
