This is a limitation in the software the forums use; any forum can only have a single forum as its parent, and posts and threads are only visible through the forum's "true" parent.
Having all modding forums and all AAR forums collected in seperate "trees" from the main game forums is due to historic reasons (i.e this is how it was done previously, so let's keep doing it), but I've been thinking of doing it the other way round: I'll do some more thinking and see what I end up with
