Game irrevertably in Russian and Question Marks

What ho, first post here-i've managed to wade through a few pickles before, and found the manual rather useful, yet this one caught me off guard

While looking through the options to be changed, i saw French as an option-i moused over it out of curiosity and bam-the menu dissapeared, not to be found again. I quit the game and started anew and the game was almost entirely in ?????????'s apart from a few things in Russian

Despite knowing Russian, the question marks were a bit of a problem-and even backtracking i found that the options bar had only one option, and i was unsure whether it was AI, Audio, Game or other

Should i re-install and get it over with-short of a good Finnish campaign there isnt much i'd regret losing

Reinstalled the game (If anyone has problems reinstalling it look for the original download folder for RUS101)

Suggestion-Don't mess about with the language options, and if you do-have a copy backed up

I could have told you that the option that messed up the language was to be found in RUS\Settings\general.opt, top of the file ...

Cheers anyhow, i'd backed up the saved games anyhow so nothing was lost
