How to make money for Reds

Sat Aug 10, 2013 4:21 am

I had downloaded the game recently and have played the Red side against the AI. I am puzzled why it is so difficult to make money. The impressment option does not seem to work as it only replies that war supplies and food are obtained. You lost heavy on morale points when you impress. I think 30. I have got the understanding of depots about five areas apart from production centers but I rarely earn more that 25 to 30 at turn. Am I missing something????

Try F7, and perform requisitions. That is the main way you will earn money in the game no matter for which side you play. You do not lose National Morale when you perform these, you instead lose loyalty in the area, in order to restore it you need to perform the Cheka special operations after the requisition has taken place.

Yes, with the requisitions you should be able to make 600 cash each four turns. Since the Reds have so much territory, you don't have to worry as much about keeping up this pace, but as Orel notes, keep the Checka operation active as well. In addition, there is a special operation every half-year (if memory serves) that nets you 200 cash, but raises the inflation by 5% each time.

Well I know about the F7 and it is not working for me. I had just downloaded the game and I have a hard copy of the game. Example is Moscow starts with 80 loyalty and I immediately attempt to special operations F7 some money but upon it finishing I only get war supplies and food but not money. As far as the money special events, I get one at the start of the game and never get another for the entire game. Is there a patch update I am lacking that address this problem??? I enjoy the game but it is getting old of be granted about 25 to 30 money a turn on a good turn.

Is your game fully patched up? I remember in 1.00 the requisitions option didn't work properly but it has been working fine for quite some time now. If you are having problems after installing the latest patch, reinstall the game.

The event text says something about the people giving you food and supplies but your money total should go up about 120$ per completed requisitions mission.

Depends on how you define victory.

I can't imagine even trying to play the Reds with only the 25 or so money each turn. Kudos to you for making a go of it on the unpatched game.

Yes, you will find the patched game much more fun. It really is a great game!
