Captured units?

Recent game as Southern Whites and one of my cavalry divisions got streamrolled by a Red stack. Lost the battle badly, leader wounded and entire division disappears. A turn or two later I load up Red side to check and find some of the units have switched sides. The White Wolves traitors!

I know you can capture supply an support units but not others?

It sounds like bug. It is hard to me to imagine brave General Shkuro fighting side by side with the Reds.

I have captured supply units and Tachankas, but it is the first time I see something like that...

Any ideas anyone?
