PBEM problems

Mon Dec 06, 2010 1:31 am

Hi - we have been experiencing problems starting a PBEM game. I'm running Windows 7 and have v1.01 of RUS. The problem is that I load the trn file he sent me, do my orders, click save game, and tooltip tells me that a file has been saved in saves/subfolder. Then, when I go to attach the file I can't see it in the saves/subfolder. I suspect this has something to do with encryption of the file as it has a padlock icon, but can't figure out what to do.

This is our fourth try. I tried hosting, and sent him trn file, he sent me ord file, and I loaded it but it doesn't synch (does AI for other player).

Thanks in advance for help!

I think you have three choices actually...

I got around this problem by disabling User Account Control on my Vista machine.

(That is, I did not not need to uninstall or go hunting for the virtual directory Vista used to store my AGEOD games.)
