"Various, Politics, Diplomacy" screens blank

Playing a PBEM with a friend of mine and my options lists have all gone blank. The usual screens to build factories, conscript party members and so forth don't show anything at all--leaving me quite unable to use my engagement points.

Anyone have a clue as to what might be the problem? I've uploaded the .trn file with this message.

I've just had this happen to me in the latest build of WIA: I had quite a few options to choose from, but the next turn those options were all gone and those screens of the ledger were empty.

This must be a new bug in the latest engine. (I'm sure it will be addressed when people are back from Christmas.)

Currently playing AACW and have finally got to grips with it and went off and bought WW1 and RUS for a change of scenery.

I have installed RUS (Not WW1 yet) and am wondering perhaps if I should have waited until a few more patches have been released as I had CTD in one of the scenarios.

So with time precious at the moment and a desire to have some quality game play should I install WW1 Gold(plus patches) and give that a go or stick with RUS?

Well I installed patch 1b and started again and am loving it but really confused with lots of things, like raising money and conscripts.

For example, how do you find which "states" you can use those "little hands" options other than just clicking on them and is that the main way of getting resources as currently I am scraping by with help from rest of world?

I can't say anything about WW1 Gold, as I haven't been a player. But the Athena engine (basis for RUS, AACW, WIA, etc.) is strong and solid. I haven't had a crash in a very long time. You might want to describe the crash and any error message you got in the "Help Improve RUS" subforum here.

The blank options screen mentioned above seems to be a new quirk. I'm sure it will be ironed out.

I notice, by the way, that it goes away with a reload, at least in my WIA example. I had a blank options page occur, but all the options were back when I exited to the main menu and then reloaded the save from the start of the same turn.

No option registered for the faction, so this is not an interface issue. We would need the backup turns to trace when you had for the last time options, and see why they disapear.
