Multi Player

Sat Apr 03, 2010 9:50 am

One change I would really like to see is the option of running ROP as a multi-player game with the choice of human or AI players for Russia, France and Hanover as well as Prussia and Austria. It would make a great PBEM game.

I would also like the option to resolve battles outside of the game engine too but that may be asking too much.

Still a great operational game.

Well, in theory you can do that. ;)
The current campaigns are designed with a "1 vs 1" format... so, you only see two sides. So, this is WAD really. ;)
But, you can try to create, for example, a "2 vs 2" scenario in which each side has 2 different factions to be controlled by the AI or human.

Any hints to the uninitiated as to how to actually create a 2 x 2 or similar game in ROP?

Thanks, that makes perfect sense and should work. It would still be a nice addition to future versions of the game to have facilities for multi player PBEM built in.
