red bars on some constructable units

Tue Apr 06, 2010 10:15 pm

Playing the new 2.0 for the first time and turn as Austrian in the 56 campaign - noted that some (infantry, grenadier, jager) units had a red bar covering the unit type. Do not recollect this before. What, if anything, does it signify?

I'm not sure what you mean.

Please post a screenshot. :)

I am now assuming that it was a way of showing which units could not be raised (as opposed to where they could not be raised) as the red lines vanished in the next turn.

That is correct.

When you are short of money, warsupply or other needed goods for the unit it gets a red band over it.

You can see it happen after you buy a number of units - at some point the remainder gets a red band. Means you are broke :) .

It needs some time...eh...turns to get enough resources to build/raise some units for either side with the new patch. In one of the earlier patches this was very easy. Now its seems to me like a pain in the a** until I can get some units for the Prussian or Austrians.
You can get some WSu thru successful Battles, but you must wait until you get enough money and conscripts.
