Overly aggressive AI?

Wed Jul 11, 2012 10:46 pm

I recently reinstalled the game and updated to the latest 1.03 patch. I started a new campaign game as Prussia v. AI. However, I see that the AI is now very aggressive. Browne invaded Saxony in fall 56, retreated in winter. Early april, my Army is concentrated in Dresden ready to begin the offensive when Charles of Lorraine leads the main Austrian Army over the still snowy mountain passes and camps down in Pirna.

Is this normal? could it be my settings? I give the AI a +1 activation and detection bonus which worked well in 1.02.

Im my recent game also under 1.3a ,Austrian AI was rushing to east Saxony and Silesia with less priority to defend Prag in 1756. I guess it is related to the Pirna event firing more quickly now. Before they were obsessed to protect Pirna camp. But was retreating to Prag to defend when it is time.

Also French AI giving much priority to attack only Minden. Sending one stack at a time and easy to cut from supply. (under +1 activation, +2 detect bonus)
There is also frequent winter movement for AI. Starting offensives just before winter months.
