The Swedish Army

...Why does it s*** so bad? I realize that it was not the greatest historically during the war, but in the game (at least in my games) it has been downright aweful. Hamilton is average and selecting the major reinforcement option does not help them much either. I usually let them just sit in Stralsund and await Russian support before venturing out into northern Prussia for fear of losing them completely too early. Perhaps something can be done to make them a little more respectable, or at the very least more useful? Any feelings or comments on this?

Try to have them survive as long as possible, while being active. They are a thorn on the prussian side, and he will be forced to commit some forces in defense even though he should already be overstreched, provided Stralsund survives early 1757.

Their main problem is the command penalty -35% to strenght is a bitch - send them an army commander (charles de loarinne or that reichsarmee guy - tho with him you won't be able to do much with swedes) to allieviate that. Also reorganise the brigades so that they are fully loaded and if you can put the hre troops in brigades too (they will cost only 4cp then ber brigade)
