Combat report during battle

Fri Apr 16, 2010 7:33 am

I noticed that there is a running commentary in the message area during battles. I have found that this commentary really helps the sense of immersion, but there is a problem.

The problem is that the commentary runs really fast(even on the longest delay) and I can't follow it as well as I would like. It also seems to disappear after the battle, and I can't find it anywhere.

Anything I can do to slow it down or read it later?

You can slow down the whole battle speed with a checkbox in the Options window, but baring that, sorry no.

I already do that, it just goes by too fast. That is a shame, the ongoing commentary is really good.

Any chance that you would consider making the slowest speed slower, so we would have twice as long to read it?

That would really help.

That's because it's you then :) (the privilege of having registered since some time I mean!)

I added an exported variable that you can tweak when the ROP patch will be official (just in a few days).

inoBattleDelayCoeff = 4

This is the base value of the variable, if set higher, the delay will be bigger. Now you'll ask, where do I put that? In a .opt file, in the Settings directory, find the file UserInterface.opt and add to it (anywhere, in the end for example) the variable and this should be ok.

I am grateful. I do not know of any one in any other game company who would do something like this. Yet another reason to love Ageod. Thank you.

Oh I'd love that too! :thumbsup:
As you have certainly noticed, I'm not very active in the forum by now. This is due to my lack of time!
But I'll be back in some days! :D
