Fleets

Wed Oct 05, 2011 5:05 pm

1. Noticed in fleet element screen a number of days e.g. 600. Is this number of days at sea?

2. F2 shows n fleets under construction with an unreadable number(?) top right of fleet icon. What is it? Just a matter of interest as I cannot fully read it!
Right side has various notifications. What do these represent?

Appreciate assistance.

well, i guess you did mean F3 (in words: F three), then the number in the right upper corner does appear in a colored field and describes the number of turns it will take to build and/or repair the ship.

additional information:
if i recall right the color behind the number does change with progress, and while there is no change you placed the ship where it cannot be constructed.
unfortunately this might happen as soon a river ship was dropped in a anchorage. its placed but cannot be constructed and only be deleted in the round it is placed.

yellow ribbon,

Thanks for helpful reply.

Yes, my mistake -F3. The AI took over my MP GC GBR for a week or so and must have set up these ship constructions.

Turn will be hosted this evening when I hope to forward a screenshot of latest turn (something may have changed :confused :)

Screenshot shows "Hong Kong" under construction - no idea when they are ready, as stated can't read figures. What does L mean and why all named Hong Kong?

"Commerce Steamer" show 4 in Force Pool. Presume they are available but only ships available through Military>sub screen build>ships are not merchant vessels.

Also looks like only 1 deployed. Thought I had more.

Perhaps I am misreading this screen altogether. At my age not the first time :bonk:

well, lets see... NASA loaned me Hubble and i make educated guesses:

the state for the upper ships is not dark red, so they are below 20 turns for building, i might claim: 15, 16, and maybe 18

HONGKONG means they are build there, it has a large harbor of level 9.

interesting that it still need that much time. building it in a navy yard and moving to Asia would have been faster

the one below, 24+, concerns me, its build in a Maritime trade box. i dont recall that repairing ships in MBT is shown in F3.

thats is close to exactly the problem i described, its placed but normally it should not be...

yeah, IN FORCE POOL means all further available units, DEPLOYED are units on the map.
maybe it is not counting all other merchant fleets which still use sails

for the merchant fleet, thats what a Dev. should clarify?!
