Beta AAR?

Tue May 03, 2011 10:11 pm

I had hoped to see some by now, since it is only a few months until release. I of course understand that the developers have no time to do this but I had my hopes up for some beta-tester to take the plunge.

Preferably I would like to see how some of the less powers feel to play.

I intentionally avoided all attempts at beta testing to have as much surprise as possible when playing for real, to avoid any burn outs.

Great, if not else to fool someone that these forums are less than dead ;) . Actually, maybe you should consider merging the two forums(on eu.com). I think it is better to have one community for a niche game rather than two different. Easy to do with a simple referal link from here.

Also. If I can make one wish for this AAR. Maybe you could recruit some of the better AAR-writers from the eu forums so we get something really "selling", I think a great AAR with some spiced up story telling could really help sell this game. I know it did when I posted THE first AAR for EU1 ;) .

I tried to find this 'alt' forum. Is it open to all.
More action and exchange would be great. I 'joined' because I felt too many players asked for advice and were just ignored.

It is on http://www.europa-universalis.com which is owned by paradox, the publisher.
I just think that two half-dead/dead forums is worse than one semi-active ;) .

You should allow your loyal customers first shot without manual or something but something to play. That would be awesome.

I totally get this.
I wonder why gamers have shut down on both forums.
Still lots of interesting and annoying playing to discuss.

Both forums used to be very interesting.

Oh well. Beta testing might actually increase dialog.

Once the game is out this forum should be pretty active as usual. Right now there is little to discuss and the developers and betas I'm sure are pretty busy getting the game into shape...
