Historic Generals

Sat Jun 05, 2010 3:46 pm

Morning AGEOD team. It has come to my mind a simple question that I would like to ask:

Will there be historic generals in the game?

There are many historical generals that should at least be in the game. Just to give out some examples:

Helmuth von Moltke the Elder
FitzRoy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan
James Brudenell, 7th Earl of Cardigan
Alexander Sergeyevich Menshikov
Tōgō Heihachirō

Also, some kings that still took their troops to battle, like Constantine I of Greece during the Balkan Wars

Never fear, leaders are here.

As things stand now, there are about 2500 historically accurrate individual leaders in VgN ranging from Field Marshals to Colonial Brigadiers covering the entire 1850-1920 era. Leaders range from the well known (as those in your post) to the not-so well known (but who were unlucky enough to serve in quiet times of history).

Thanks for the quick reply

Now I just need to wait until the game comes out to do the "Charge of the Light Brigade" and unite Germany with Moltke

Once again,

Is Garnett Wolseley portrayed in the game. Is he a national leader or a lower level leader? He seemed to have served in many different campaigns of the era.
