I also have the same ctd problem. Do I need to send my savefile to Pocus to have it fixed?

For the more technically oriented, I'll tell you how to solve the problem. If this seems too complex, send me the files at [email="pocus@ageod.net"]pocus@ageod.net[/email]

Make a backup of your TRN and HST file (of the turn that is crashing).
Open the first file (with a text editor, I personally used Notepad++, a freeware)
Seek #AIA#, you'll probably find this line

#AiA#0&100942&0&500&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0|&NULL&NULL&NULL&#AiA#
0&100601&0&300&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0|&NULL&NULL&NULL&#AiA#
0&100702&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0&0|&NULL&NULL&NULL&#AiA##Aifg#

Remove everything that I listed, i.e everything between the #AIA# tags, plus the last #AIFG# tag.

Save... do the same with the other file.

I put in red 100942 because it seems this is the typical value you'll find also...

Yes, Pocus and the AGEOD team are great about support - they do care about the product and customers.

I have this crash as well on the current turn 1880 DLC Apr 81 after two hotfixes. Here's my question. I have 4 backups from Oct 27 and the current turn files from that date as well (had the suez closed problem for a few turns). I don't know if those files were created before the second hotfix or not.

This is running on the same installation as the CIE PBEM, so I don't want to change the game itself.

What should I do? Add one of the files included above?
Just text edit out the AIA etc. text indicated above in HST and TRN?
Or just wait for the next quickfix or update and install that to clear the problem?

Notepad ++ does not find those AIA strings in the HST or TRN I was trying to run from.

Sir Garnet, you can send me the HST and TRN files which are crashing. I'll try to fix it for good in 1.03c but the bug seems persistent.
