Great idea indeed, Kensai. PoN definitely deserves a Gold version, it's the best game I've played so far, it just needs some polishment.

Well, life is like that. But some of us are waiting for the end of this bug like a kid waits for Christmas...

Steam is a problem as it'll force you to update the game to the last version that needs fixing...

PON will not be as accurate as EAW in the specific conflict, but it could portray the bigger economical picture. I wonder if the blockade can be done, hehe.

If you could make the unifications work in the 1850 Grand Campaign, that would be stellar!

The 1880 scenario already takes care of that and by the way for me it's much better than the 1850 one. :)

1880 is a great scenario, but I really enjoy building a nation up from a mediocre power to a great one. I enjoy both scenarios. Or at least I used to , when I could play the game.

I also enjoy the 1850 scenario, but the fact that the unifications are broken (for the AI) kinda of break my immersion after the 1870s.

any chance to add to patch ability to trade maps ?
since it looks it is some cases onlyest chance to discover certain areas of map, since they are unexloprable by normal means (if they belong to another organized nation).
and in simmliar manner it is posible that region will become automaticaly explored to all nations, say 10 years after first exploring ? of course if yyou habve good relations with first exploring nation, then that region will become discovered to you earlier.

I am not sure if that's the right place to post, but after upgrading from version 1.03 e to 1.04 RC the pictures from my sub-unit ( element ) panel are missing - they were present in the previous version beyond any doubt. I am using Win 8 X64, GeForce GT 720M graphic card resolution 1600X900. I am attaching the screen from my game - hopefully.

It is confirmed missing yes, and that's not on the user end. It is linked to the code. There will be a fix on that.

Thank you, Pocus, I was warned of that, but got confused afterwards since a member of the team game of mine ( 1880 Scramble for Africa ) claimed that he actually has the pictures there so I thought to myself that there may be something that I can do about that. Thanks for making the improvements happen at all, don't take it as mere moaning and groaning, it was my intention by no means.

I'd say yes. Its save friendly (both ways) so you can revert if you want.

Overall, 1.04 improved the AI quite a lot and makes the colonial game a better challenge. Now the immortal garrisons are gone and the lag for F4 removed, I reckon its the patch of choice - the visual problems around some screens are an irritant, but all in all its a lot better

The latest public beta is quite stable indeed. Little more testing and we could have the release and possibly final version of v1.04.
