Help with Event selection tabs please

I'm playing as Russia in a PBEM game of the Grand Campaign with two other players. None of us is very well versed with the game so we're all sort of learning as we play.

I just got an event concerning rights in the Holy Land with Turkey. I have two options available. One is to "Pressure Turkey" and the other is to "Find a compromise". I'd like to select "Pressure Turkey" but I'm not sure which tab to click as when I click on that tab, the little box with X in it goes away but the same box with the little X stays on the Compromise tab. Does this mean I've selected "Pressure Turkey" or have I de-selected that option and gone ahead with "compromise"?

Which screen is correct if I want to select "Pressure Turkey"? The top screen or the bottom one? Thank you.

I tried it. That's backwards. It's the one without the X that gets selected.

well, if yo wanted to pressure turkey, then pic 2 should work. I know, i played as russia too. If you didnt get desired war, it is because turkey yealded and gived to your demands.
Or i lest i allways thought you selecting that version with x. Can others post thier experince with selecting of events?

Actually, I only managed to choose the "refuse option" (by clicking on it), because the "accept option"
would'nt play. Not much of an option ;-)
