Ok, I am getting board waiting on the reunification aspect of Italy. And I keep getting told i am the largest army in Europe... So wondering, is there a reason i should not unify italy by force?

Thats a bugged mission. You have that mission, but it is physically impossible to have the largest army in europe as Italy unless every other power has disbanded/excommunicated their armed forces. That newspaper heading will jump to the capital of whoever is winning the mission at the time.

You could try to unify Italy by force, but you won't be able to keep your conquests probably before the date of unification arrives.

You can read Loki's AAR for encouragement, but I favor Italy starting in 1880 which is a more usual sort of challenge as part of the "Scramble". Note that France wants Tunisia and that can pose a problem if you protectoratize it.

I've read lokis aar, that was why i started italy. And I have decided instead to take the colonial advance... I am actually about to land a force of troops in Tunisia to invade it and grab a few of my own colonies. Figure it'll be a good way to wait for italy to get unified. Plus the french were starting to send traders and such.
