OK. I will check that out this evening . (I am in EST.) I haven't tried the replay -- I assumed it was for replaying an entire game.
By and large , as I come to a better understanding of the system I am beginning to see the why's and wherefores, but as I mentioned, in one or two cases I have been puzzled. These may very well have been cases of user error as I am still getting used to things. For example, I might want to move a unit to occupy a region and defeat the enemy unit presently occupying it. To do so I drag my unit over the enemy unit. But the enemy unit in the region heads off in another direction. By positioning my unit over the enemy I have ordered it to intercept the enemy, so my unit will not occupy the target region, but instead follow the enemy. If the enemy moves by rail I might find myself marching off on a wild goose chase.
There are subtleties in the command options that i haven't yet gone into, as I am still figuring out the broad strokes.
And of course the AI is making use of functions that I am still learning about, such as water movement and forced marches, so I frequently find that situations can change quite quickly. Which adds to the fun! But sometimes leaves me scratching my head.
