Where do the rebels go?

Mon Nov 05, 2012 7:11 pm

In my Great Britain campaign I have frequently been attacked by rebels in Puerto Cabezas in central America. My armies have always been able to defeat them but at least a few thousand escape into neighbouring provinces. They often come back and destroy buildings etc when my troops have left.

Does anyone know whether they fight the troops in Nicaragua when they flee there, or is it just a rebel safe-haven (and thus must be dealt with)?

Also, when I chased some rebs into Nicaragua I gained 76% military control despite not being at war with Nicaragua (official state). I gained control of production structures and received a Nicaraguan army. Just wondering if this happens to rebels when they flee there?

Rebels are usually by definition hostile to every nation, but when they flee defeated they usually flee in passive mode until they regain strength. Unless you see Nicaragua as a REBel region, they are probably just hiding there beyond your control... how you manage to enter Nicaragua without permission I do not understand.

Yes it is strange. Interestingly, when I went there Nicaragua was under the control of rebels with William Walker (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Walker_(S%C3%B6ldner) I assume you are German?) as their general, who I think was killed in the battle - the detail of this game is remarkable.
