Technical problem

Thu Dec 08, 2011 11:13 am

Hi,
I'm playing France, and since January 1853, I'm experiencing a problem.
Actually, there's a "return-to-windows" at the end of the 15th day.
When I reload my save, if I was in late January, I'm now in early February, but it's quite annoying to restart the game after each turn.
Anyone's got a solution ?

hello, please give them more information

do you play any online distributed game or have you installed from DVD?

do you have patched the game?

do you have any mediaplayer or similar software running in the background?

would you please copy and paste or upload the

MAIN.LOG file

from the very moment right after the crash.

this kind of problems were common before one of the first beta patches, so it could be that you run into an old bug, already solved within the official patch

you will find it here:

The first thing is to verify the game cache in Steam - on the game properties.

It seems that the crash thus happen when the hosting is done, and this is a winter month...Can it be the problem of winter textures that overload the video card? You should try to see if it crashes with winter textures off also.

I had this problem too, when I started playing the campaign of the Russo-Japanese war.

i am playing patch 1.02 and i have the same problem, every couple of turns as the game is processing the turn it crashes and i have to reloadand start the game from the resume button, btw i also had this problem with 1.01

i am not a computer expert so am not really sure about details, all i can say is that i can continue game, i just have to resume the game from the start menu, very annoying

it is however a superb game and i am prepared to keep 'resuming' untill you guys can find a solution
