I tried PoN on my private laptop, a three year old machine with external graphics and dedicated memory - the game was basically unplayable.
Just scrolling the screen had a lag of at least a second (per scroll), not to mention the time it took to redraw the landscape. Tested with lowest graphics settings in the options menu.
I then tried it on my business laptop, a Dell Latitude with I7 processor lots of RAM (6 or GB), but no dedicated graphics processor. The scrolling and pop-up of menus was _much_ better. But as I came from basically unplayable I wasn't surprised that much. Nevertheless it is still not as smooth and enjoyable as I would expect for that kind of hardware.
I wonder if there is some kind of setting or command line option that would improve the performance of the game. Any suggestions?
