End-turn, Alt-tab and CTD

Hi, when I press end-turn it takes a loooong looooong time to resolve all actions. So as this is very boring, I usually Alt-tab to switch to the forum. I have activated the option saying that CPU will be used even when PON is not the active app. But the bad news is that often when i'm alt-tabing back to PON to see the progress of the end-of-turn process I have a CTD. Any idea/suggestion ?

I too eventually ctd when alt-tabbing.

However, one of the agesettings program settings is much more stable than the others and goes longer.

From other posts it seem that which setting that is depends on your particular machine.

So I'd suggest running agesettings and experiment with the 3 or 4 basic alternatives. (Yes! boring!)
