I have to say that I find these maps very useful, really good way of giving the big picture in one small :) .

In the colonial penetration map mode as Balkans not color coded there is possible to miss "Customs takeover" action in Bosna,Albania and Bulgaria. I think that is the only colonial action can be done there. I have tiny knowledge about China maybe there are some regions there can be color coded not to miss the penetration action.

Customs takeover and other of the like are only possible in the capital region of an unstable nation, so for the 'Balkans', it all goes down to Constantinople (and none are possible once the Balkan states become independant)...

I also think you've done a fine job with all the map filters & such.

However, there some of the useful tooltip info that only shows in one mode would've been helpful in others. That's just something you find as you go, though.

One example would be having the sea trade box tooltip info listed in all the economy, colonial, and military modes and filters. Things of that nature. ;)

Yes Indeed. They are inside Ottoman borders but to be independent. , ex Serbia independent so not possible action. Arab colonies does have natural resources so not possible for them to be independent historically.
If the game have started at a date maybe 50-70 years earlier Crimea could also be in the colonial penetration zone for Russia, Ex: exchanging, bringing population, controlling salt mines.

I have forund colonial action system very detailed and marvelous as well as the historical approach in the map modes.
