This game is awesome :)

I'm looking forward more information about politics and research features. In game trailer cool screens are shown to us, but some explanation (next dev diary, for instance ;) ) will be welcome.

According to PI's lead developer Johan the price is not a bug.

Like I already wrote, Apple has shown that low price isn't a recipy for disaster, quite the contrary ;) . Most wargame producers can only dream about the sales on ITunes store. Steam sales usually mean alot of sales even for less popular games.

Clearly there is a market for this type of game since Imperialism 1/2 is still played by some. The graphic style certainly reminds of those games even though this is far more complicated.
