irrKlang.dll

Fri Jan 16, 2009 11:30 pm

Hi.
I've loaded the demo of the 1.05f and I execute WW1 Application.
A window opens with this message "Can't load irrKlang.dll" and the game doesn't open.
It's me or is it a problem with Vista ?
Txs ! :)

Make sure the DLL is inside the game folder. If it's absent, the install was probably not successful. Otherwise the DLL can be corrupted.

Anyway, I attached the DLL... ;)

I got the same thing, even after downloading it again...tried it with the extra file thing, and now I get a different set of crashes says something like debug assertion failed for line 62 and then 176 if you ignore the first. After ignoring the second, it just goes to a black screen.

Any help?

Line 62 of WW1SoundManager.cpp : means unable to load a sound file.
Line 176 of WW1MusicManager.cpp : means unable to load a music file.

Possible causes:
a) DLL not working (not compatible with the audio drivers? :blink :)
b) DLL corrupted
c) Sound/Music files not installed (check inside the Data/Sounds/... folders ;) ) maybe the Install procedure failed...
d) Sound/Music files present but corrupted

If you want to run the game despite these problems, disable sounds and musics (Configure Game), but I suspect there's anyway some problem in your installation... something has come wrong. :bonk:
