In the political actions appendix, it shows the rolls needed, and the drm, for each political action. These match the boardgame almost exactly.
However, the % chances displayed for each action in the game (on the screen where you select political actions) do not appear to be the same.
For example:
In my current CG as the Centrals, for Germany's "Call up Conscripts" political action it says Germany has a 41% chance of success. However, based on the manual, it should be 92%.
Here is what the appendix says that = 92%
Success D12 Roll: 7+
+? Parliament
+1 Britain, Germany, Italy
+2 Russia
-1 in 1917 or -2 in 1918
Germany Parliament is at +2 level, so with that +2 and the +1 modifier for Germany, Germany succeeds with this political action on a 4 or higher on 2 x 6-sided dice. Needing a 4+ means only 3 possible rolls fail (out of 36 possibilities), which also means 33 out of 36 possibilities succeed. That's an 92% chance of success (and an 8% chance of failure).
Based on what I've seen, they actual % chance "under the hood" in the game may match what the manual says, but the displayed % chance of success is clearly wrong. The problem is that players will see that % chance of success and make poor decisions b/c they think an event might have a 59% chance of failure, when the chance (in this example) is only 8% to fail. Same problem seems to be the case with all the displayed political action % chances of success.
Anyone else notice this?
