Game always crashes with certain events

Thu Sep 20, 2012 9:23 am

Hello,

First of all, bravo for this wonderful game, one of the best wargames I played on computer.

Unfortunately for me I have rarely seen the year 1915 in a campaign game. The game constantly freezes and crashes when the events Strike or Rebellion appear. I have restarted many campaigns and each time, the same problem occurs.
I have the gold edition, windows xp sp3 and the patch 1.08o

Thanks very much for your help.

Hello, latest patch is 1.08P. Have you tried to turn off the antivirus, or to set WW1.exe as application trusted by the antivirus?

Try also to change AI settings.

However, post here the zipped savegame (.sav & .map files). I will test in debug mode as soon as possible.

Hello Calvinus,

Thanks for the quick reply. I've dowloaded the patch 1.08p. I've turned off the antivirus, same problem. I've changed the AI settings, same problem.

Please find attach the zipped saved files (map and sav) on a game going to crash.

Thank you again.

I tried your save, playing with no crash till March 1915. No freeze, but I see the game runs very slow, I will investigate.

Edit: the game runs very slowly after I installed a new antivirus... :( The difference is evident... :(
