Help. Just bought. First turn crashing.

Wed Apr 08, 2009 3:03 am

I have tried both the Palestine and Tannenburg scenario. Every time I end the turn, the game crashes to a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" error saying:

Runtime Error!

Program: C\Program Files\World War One\WW1.exe

R6025
- pure virtual function call

Can anyone please assist me with this? I'm not new to AGEOD games (own both BOA's, NCP and AACW), so I'm really eager to give WWI a shot despite its known (and unknown) issues. I just bought it tonight and I'm hoping enough has been ironed out for me get a good gaming experience. Maybe I'm missing something here.

I'm patched up to 1.06a and running with no music (but do have sound). I'm also an XP user running Trend Micro AV.

Thanks. You can email me at catch222000@yahoo.com. I'm also under the name 'marvingardns' at the Wargamer (I know some of your frequent there).

Lastly, I've got a serious forum issue with AGEOD. I'm registered under the username "marvingardns" but it says I do not have sufficient privileges to post or have not activated my account. Can anyone give me sufficient privileges? I had to start a new AGEOD forum account just to post my dire need for help in getting WWI up and running.

Thanks all. Paul (aka marvingardns)

The last time I played the game, which was weeks ago, and playing with 1.06a, I had to turn off as much stuff in my Taskmanager as I possibly could to keep it from crashing, hanging, delaying.

You might want to try that.
