Still more CTDs

Mon Dec 01, 2008 12:46 pm

Using the new patch 1.0.04d things were looking good for a few turns. Actually got up to Mar-Apr 1915 in the Grand campaign.
Then got a CTD in the events phase. May have been due to the rebellion event coming up? (with newspaper showing)
Last save was Jan-Feb 1915.
There are some good and interesting features in the game and it does have potential.
But there is still a long list of bugs besides the CTD issues.
A lot of things that really should have come up in the beta testing?

I expect the 1.05 to solve most of the bugs. The 1.6 should then enhance the GUI and boost the AI

The 1.04f under work fixes some CTDs:

- crash when doing merge tricks with Ambassadors;
- crash during 1915 diplomacies (occurring once Spain expels the ambassadors suspected of espionnage).

Of course, you are welcome to post here a zipped savegame so I can inspect if there is a reproducibe crash.

Thanks,
Calvinus.

I am also experiencing crashes at random but I counteract them by saving every turn before I touch any buttons :wacko:

Oh Calvinus, remember the bug about where I as the Centrals declared war on Switzerland to see how this would affect the US, well the result was that Switzerland joined the Central Powers and the US level increased in favor of the Centrals, almost as if they sanctioned it :mdr:

Too bad that I also a CTD right after.

Which version? 1.04e? Have you read the posts concerning the mysterious interferences caused by Antivirus? Try disabling the AI logs in WW1.ini file:

LogfileAI=0
