Problems with ingame menu

Tue Nov 18, 2008 2:15 pm

Downloaded and installed patch 1.0.4. Game seems to be more stable, but somehow it introduced a new problem for me.

Sometime menus (main menu, reinforcements menu etc.) ingame don't open correctly. It seems to load only parts of it. Its a gamebreaker since I have to restart the game.

- some parts of menu are active, but also some parts of game map
- If I can't see the V (for ok, and close menu) I can't exit menu and have to restart game.

Happened three times now, two times in main menu, one time in reinforcements menu

Playing with following settings:

Monitor resolution (1920*1200)
Security level 2
sound on/music on
Load all map at start.

When I check system performance the application uses minimum amount of memory (20 mb if I recall correctly). AI seems to have finished calculations. Perhaps only a graphical error???

It seems a VRAM fault... maybe disabling the "Load all map at start" could help.

Thanks for the tips, my video card and driver are recent and are not causing any problems with any other game.

Changed the map loading. Problem didnt occur after 30 minuts of playing, however in diplomatic phase (september 1914 2 playing large campaign) it crashed while AI was processing..... Tried to find error report but couldnt...

Seems game is not stable yet?

Try disabling sounds. The MP3 library (external) is causing some problems. A new library integration in under work. ;)
