I'm new to the game itself, but have been aware of its availability for the last year or so, even before Gold, and only now after starting the advanced tutorial and reading the manual, have I become aware that there is a 'tactical' battle component to the game: the whole mechanism of battles taking place between committed units, support units, reserves, and the breakthroughs, all under player control.
Perhaps I've just been dense and didin't notice this tactical aspect of the game, or any discussion or advertising of it, but in looking back at the Ageod and the Matrix info pages on the game, nothing is mentioned there about it.
Having this tactical component is a big plus for the game, seems to me. It should have been highlighted in the advertising for the game.
For anyone like me who has waited for months and months before getting the game, there's a lot more under the hood!
