Russian front victory

So I defeated Russia.
How many troops, if any, do I need to keep in the east? Do I just need to main the victory zone regions?

Another question, is anyone else noticing that Russia doesnt last past 1915?
Or is it just me in my past 3 games?
Please post any results whether they contradict this or not. I would be interested to see the stats.

In my current campaign, Jan-Feb 1919, Russia is hanging in, Michael is Czar and it seems every turn there's a new government in power. On the other hand, the German's are knocking on the door of Petrograd and I expect Ivan is pretty much on the ropes for good and will be counted out come spring.

I'm France and have taken most of the Left Bank of the Rhine almost as far down river as Aachen.
