Seige victory

Sun Jun 20, 2010 1:26 pm

About half of the time I win a seige the final combat result lists all my remaining units as dead, regardless of whether they are or not.

Anyone else getting that problem?

Otherwise Seiges are modelled very nicely I feel.

Just because a unit is no longer in the visible roster does not mean it is "dead". It has been withdrawn for whatever reason and it will be back at the start of the next turn-most of the time right in the formation-not in the reinforcements group.

Indeed.

I haven't explained my self well

Lets say I have 3 infantry, all in good health and the seige finishes by "seige" rather than "assault".

At the end of the seige the results come up as they do with battles and it will sometimes say that all 3 infantry have been killed even though they are fine and where not involved in combat. Indeed when I go to check after they are actually fine and still on the map.

Finally whilst I am on it. In 4 player version of SP the battle screen sometimes shows me the enemy's force pool and munitions levels.

OK-I understand. I must say I have never seen that.

However, after a bad re-install last night, I saw things much more crazy than that. My UAC got turned back on before the install-gotta re-due it. I'm hesitant to say you have a bad install as I have not played this last patch enough-maybe something strange has occurred. However, what you are seeing does not sound like the normal results.

The only losses I have suffered during sieges were from direct assaults. If, after my re-install, I see such a thing I will post in this thread-and or the bug forum.

I'll see if it happens again any time soon and try to replicate it.

However, it doesnt actually have an effect, so its by far from being urgent

But this will do on MP:

Finally whilst I am on it. In 4 player version of SP the battle screen sometimes shows me the enemy's force pool and munitions levels.
