After a couple of weeks of intense play, I think I'm getting a handle on things (still far too many crashes for my taste-- they almost always happen at the end of displayed movement in the Military phase, but before battles begin... but that's another thread).
My questions today: what's the easiest way to use naval assets?
The Russian fleets seem to work as designed, every mission is possible, or I can always just move the fleets to the Baltic/Black Seas. Ditto the Turks, Italians and Germans, and the Brits at least to the North Sea. Haven't tried the French.
The A-H fleets, as noted elsewhere, appear to be broken. I can set them to "Patrol" and move out to the coastal areas, but I can never seem to move beyond them into the Adriatic or other Med zones.
The naval raiders work fine, but I never get any success as the Entente in hunting the German raiders down. Any hints? What mission should I run?
Moving fleets: THIS is the big question, reason for the post-- how do I relocate fleets to other areas? As the Central Powers, I could move my raiders to other seas, but as the Entente, I couldn't seem to relocate my fleets elsewhere.
Namely, the British Atlantic fleet-- I tried to send it from Portsmouth (? Maybe it's Southhampton-- the port on the Channel) to the South Atlantic to counter the German raiders, but I can't get it to go there. Also, I tried to relocate it to the Mediterranean to reinforce the British fleet already located at Alexandria-- I couldn't figure out how to do this, nothing seemed to work.
Also-- sharing ports? Can a British fleet dock in a French port, or an A-H port dock in an (allied) Italian port? Do I have to have the "military cooperation" action enabled for this? Or is it just not possible?
Thanks for any help.
