Some tips on Playing!

I know the patch is coming out by Monday but here are some tips to playing that I have found that really help alot!

1.Pause the AI when you need to do anything in your turn!

2.Use autosave and manually save after each turn segment, I have found that freezes and CTDs are ussually random and you can return to a previous save.

3. In a battle Pause the AI and palcement of your units is much easier!

This game will be a Crown Jewel once some minor bugs are ironed out....

I am German but all I can say is....VIVA LA AGEOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, and also disable music in configurator and disable Firewall (if you dare, but I'm a daredevil :cool . Since then (2 days ago) I had *no* CTD - but didn't play much, mostly contemplated all I had to do in Aug14 GC !

That is very bad advice unless the computer has no Internet access. A computer on the Internet without adequate security will be hacked in a matter of minutes.

Well, only in case if you already have some kind of malware installed on your computer. But not actually surfing a dangerous site, and having no sypware/malware/virus running means nothing will break into your computer.

Be careful, there are programs who search actively for vulnerable computers by checking more or less randomly chosen IP addresses. No need to visit a website.
Virtually all ADSL modems come with a build-in firewall however (cable modems surely too), so even if you turn off your desktop firewall you are not really completely open to the net.

I myself would never run any type of software firewall. I have a router, and that for me is enough security. I've been using my router as firewall for probably ten years, and have never gotten a virus.

Software firewalls are not worth the hassle they create. To me software firewalls create bogus threats, so that you continue to buy the product.
