Are many people playing via PBEM ? Is it stable ? I have not played via PBEM in over a year and it was very buggy at the time. I'm hoping it may be better now.

Thanks
Rob

Yes, try latest beta patch 1.08Q that introduces allows to play PBEM in a Client-Host mode. This solves the bugs you experienced in the past.

The PBEM now works almost like other AgeOD games, the Host executes the end-turn procedure and then save the game. Once done, the Host shares the savegame files (.SAV & .MAP) with all clients. The clients may watch the end turn sequence if they have all ORD files, but then they do not save the game, because the savegame files are always produced and shared by the Host.

Details can be found in the PBEM pdf manual updated by patch 1.08Q.

Look over on the PBEM forums, there is a group looking for a member for PBEM of this right now, you should be able to sign up with them.
