Serbia Vassal of Austria

Tue Jan 10, 2012 6:18 am

Hi, i moved back to WW1 gold, first i have to say that this version is hugely better than the previous one (WW1 not gold)...

Btw my question is about Serbia.
The manuel explain that its possible to vassalize Serbia to Austria, but in the game it appears that Serbia is already at war. (statut 0 )
I tried few combinaison to try to influence them during the special siplomatie of early august phase but never manage to add serbian to the CP... is it possible (rare i know) or just broken in the current game.

A little reserve about the game difficulty (mid agressivité/mid difficulty) in both previous campains with allies and CP AI remains a very poor opponent after mid 1915 (offensive with very few corps, defense of keys position with 1 reduced corps) far to easy, what are the best setting for challenge against AI?
I play wego for now.

(maybe a bug i think there is some error about location for naval raids in the french langage version, but i have to investigate further)

Regarding Serbia, have never seen this event fire but the scripts for it are certainly in the Game Texts file so I doubt there's a bug there.

For AI, I use mid-aggressiveness with maximum difficulty and have had her stage some nasty surprises. Although it still tends to attrit itself in penny-packets, the lower aggressiveness setting seems to mitigate it some. I also lock the German colonial garrisons in place until mid-1916 and have zeroed the Austrian and German naval movement capacity. This has greatly reduced the appearances of East African Askari's in East Prussia and prevented the capture of the Falklands and French Indochina by globe-trotting German colonial forces.

The way to vassalize Serbia is to use a particular Austrian war-plan option, that can be neverthless voided by a Russian option (prepare Serbia for war).... though task anyway! Maybe not worth the effort.....

Ok so its possible, with Prinz plan (no offensive on turn one i assume)
+Ultimatum event, No England (so no shlieffen plan at least)and no mediteranean entering at war the same turn and no Austrian Amb in the mission.(just German)
Huge task indeed... but could be funny
Thanks for your answer Calvinius (and thank you also for continuing the support of this great game  )

Well i tried all the plans that didn't not invoved mandadory attack against Serbia (+Ultimatum) The 4 pts AMB in Beograd with mission
No one enter at war (so no rivality modifier) even with the roll of 5 for central power Serbians stay at war. (But the event about partial mobilization occurs)
Dozen of reload to be sure getting the best roll.

Actually i do think that Serbia start at 0 and already at war(during the plan phase its always the case) so the 4 (or 5 with ultimatum) statut is like inactive...

Or there is someting i did not understood (Btw its the 2 players campaign)
