Deeply disappointed

I delayed the purchase of this game for what two years, before finally last weekend deciding, that after two years of bug squishing, it most likely is finally ready game to be played.

But for 30 euros what have I gotten? I have actually spend more time on the technical support of this forum, than playing. I've gone through every suggestion there, but in vain.

The game seems to freeze randomly now and then with FPS dropping to 1 to 2, sometimes after playing for 5 minutes and sometimes after 30 minutes. It's even currently hanging in the background with 0,56 FPS, as you cannot even kill the process with CTRL+ALT+DEL...need to restart the whole computer. I'm sorry, but for 30 euros, I expected the game to be playable.

I do feel completely cheated and I will be very very weary of buying more games from AGEOD.

Cheat is a correct word, as I literally went through the whole technical support section of the game, as well as 20 pages of this main section and it's stricking, but there's really little amount of discussion about the game. Most discussions center around different bugs and problems.

I was here when BoA launched (old account lost) and was excited, but this WW1 has really turned the table.

Rant over, for which I spent 30 euros. Rather would be playing, but no...

The behaviour you describe (freezes) is commonly caused by the following factors:
- UAC: WW1 must be installed and played with UAC off
- Antivirus: the antivirus must be configured to make WW1.EXE as a trusted application
- Disable the following options in WW1 Config Tool: AI Logs, AI Memory.

Like I said, I've read and tried all suggestion in the technical support section as well as read 20 pages of this main section, with various fixes included in the threads.

I ininstalled this game ... never could enjoy it ... I consider the purchase a donation to AGEOD.

I must say that I'm surprised that a game as recent as this one has to be played with UAC off.
There can't be many people that buy a game from a shop that would know this is the case - or know how to do it?

My dear Hobbes, turning UAC off was the FIRST thing I did in my windows 7 laptop...

I would even go so far as saying that most "serious" PC gamers nowadays know and do this...

I turned that damn thing off even before I found out it had a bad effect on multiple programs. I think in the first hour or two I got tired of its inane question. Different strokes for different folks.

As far as crashes with this game-I have not had any in single player mode for likely over 18 months.

Turned mine off as well - but I assume many people don't.
