Capitulated Belgium

Sat Nov 06, 2010 8:19 pm

Playing as the Central Powers, I managed to get Belgium to surrender in late 1914. However, I have no idea what that means in game terms. I seem to still be able to move around it, but I don't know if the Allies can as well. Is Belgium now just a big open area for both sides to fight over? Shoudl I withdraw and put the armies to better use elsewhere?

Hi,

As the CP, you can move your armies through that country freely (and I believe in supply). I know - as playing the CP - when I knocked France out of the war, Britain became isolated and their armies were "erased" from the map after a turn of remaining that way. They never came back into France for the rest of the war. I think the manual might state something about needing to leave a certain amount of armies on the Western front (for Germany), but the rest I moved over to help in the fight with Russia.

Back to your game, I believe both Britain and France (assuming they are still in the war) should not be able to use Belgium thus giving you access to flank their armies.

I'm still new to the game, so you might want to wait for others to chime in.
