the corps limit for Germany

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I just noticed that the corps limit for Germany appears to be 7 since the patch, where it was 8 before, for Germany at least.

I tried to add a corps to an army with 7 corps and the game refused to allow me to do this due to the max corps limit.

I didn't change the rule. Are you sure it was not a stacking limits issue or something else? Also, which scenario?

The 2-player grand campaign. During the reinforcement phase I tried to add an additional corps to the German IV army which had 7 corps at that time. To be sure, I counted them manually. It had 7 infantry corps and 1 artillery. Artillery do not count in terms of the corps limit, right? It can't be the stacking limits as the army HQ consisted of only 3 corps (2 inf, 1 art), the rest was in detachments in the provinces around the HQ.

For stacking limits you have to count also the other detachments (only corps) present in the area, if any. Did you do?

No, besides the IV army HQ there were no other corps in that particular region.
