victory in 1914

Fri Jun 18, 2010 4:30 pm

I just had my first successful Schlieffen Plan. I stormed Paris by assault in September 1914 and so I got a major victory

Of course, I am very happy with this result. Unfortunately, I forgot to save before the end of the September 1914 turn, so when the game ended, I could not go back to continue the game.

My question is, if I had wanted to continue the war beyond that point, should I have waited until 1915 before taking Paris? The victory in 1914 section in the manual seems to suggest that it is possible to decide to continue the war after taking Paris in hope of a more decisive victory, which I found is not true.

First of all, congratulations for your success!

Yes.

If so, the manual is unclear and it's to be improved.
If you take Paris with German forces or if you take Berlin with Russian forces, there is an automatic victory. No way and no need to continue the war.

I figured that this was the case, thanks for your clear answer.

At any rate, it was an exciting(if short) campaign.
