My army was disbanded due to prolonged isolation.

The Turkish first army invaded in the black sea but failed to obtain supply. It was disbanded. I don’t seem to have to option to rebuild it in the interphase – is this deliberate? An army is just a container surely it would be possible to rebuild it?

AI can surely rebuild (advantage to help AI, yes! :D ).

I do not recall if human players can do it... so don't you see the destroyed HQ in the HQ tab inside the Recruitments window?

I encounter the same problem with my Swiss guys and now I got reinforcement units that have no proper army to join! :(

Nope – no option to rebuild the first Turkish army. Incidentally shouldn’t it be called the Ottoman Empire? Also I presume the leader is permanently lost as well.

If you post here a zipped savegame (.SAV & .MAP files), I can check it carefully in debug mode. Thanks, Calvinus.

Done.

Please also note the odd behavior of Japan.

Ok, I debugged your save and I figured what's the cause: when a stack is removed for prolonged isolation, it's physically destroyed!

This is why you don't see it anymore for re-build.

So now I added a fix that works so: HQs are simply logically removed (that's to say current position is set to nowhere). In this way, HQs should be able for re-build.

Not for old savegames, tough. Sorry.

Just for curiosity, I checked original boardgame rules and I discovered that stacks removed for prolonged isolation are to be destroyed.
Also, boardgame rules say that buildable HQs are those of new armies.

So it seems that destroyed HQs cannot be rebuilt...

But I understand this can be a problem in terms of PC gameplay.

So I decided to develop the fix as game improvement.
