The beta-patch 1.06B already contains the automatic rail conversion. It's not perfect, because the rails of conquered not-garrisoned areas are converted at the end of the Military Phase (instead of the Interphase), but at least you have it...

You can download the beta patch here:

A new official patch will come in a couple of weeks. I have been requested to work on three new language editions of the game in the same period, so now I'm overwhelmed by tasks... :bonk:

Agreed. I've finally jumped into a campaign and, while I'm still somewhat overwhelmed, I'm really enjoying it.

I am a big fan of this game and of the hard work from calvinus. :p ompom:
So I took a rest the last weeks and waited for a polished and shiny version of the game.
What I read now seems to me that this time could be reached soon.
I am really looking forward playing a complete game (from 1914 to 1919). And on the other hand I am afflicted with total war empire (a really buggy game and bad patching- and communicating-policy).
Now I would like to start a new game of ww1 hoping to finish this game with the latest important improvments and fixes. I guess I need maybe 2 or 3 weeks to finish a game.
So please calvinus, can you tell me when the next patch (beta-patch (never made a bad experience with your beta-patches)) will be out.
And another question: If you finished the german version can old savegames be played with it? (if I need longer than 2 or 3 weeks)

Again calvinus, thank you for your hard work so that we never felt lost and having finally a really great game.

I'm working on the last task for the beta patch: AI improve - no holes on the fronts.
I should spend 2-3 days on this task. In the meanwhile, I scheduled also some corrections in the manual. So, considering also the time for tests, at the end a new beta patch could be ready for next monday... ;)

Really great! Right time for rereading the manual.

A new beta patch is out, and this time it will become official very soon! Go to the "Help Improve WW1" section... ;)
