Are you sure, Phil? I'm having a lot of lag playing with strictly turn-based mode and army activation in the military phase. Are you sure the link above is updated with the zip Calvinus has mentioned before?

Seems the Zip.file Calvinus has uploaded doesn't fix the lag in strictly turn-based mode with 1.05C installed. :(

For the moment, I would recomend avoiding strictly-turn-based :(

Phil, i think it's my mistake. I was playing an old savegame (pre-Calvinus Zip 1.05c). I'm playing another game and no lag with strictly turn-based mode and the Calvinus Zip exe file.

Thanks Calvinus for the patch  but i noticed that the ai locked up during every second air battle in the 1918 and Caporetto scenario. Don´t know if this is also in the 1914 campaign.

Sadly the new patch makes the game unplayable for me. :( The ai locked up everytime on the first or second air battle. Sometimes i can outsmart the ai when i put my planes to the back box and move them to the front box again. But the ai locked at the next battle again.

Yes, there's a bug in AI of air duels, caused by the presence of Bombers.

So, waiting for a patch, in the meanwhile, do not plan air missions, this will avoid the occurrence of air battles.

Sorry,
Calvinus.

No, the 1.05c is enough, patches are all-inclusive.

As for crashes, the latest problem appear to be sound (and music) you should try and tweak the settings in the Config tool.

Uninstall the game? Do we have to uninstall and reinstall the game and then install the patch just to make it work?

If so what are the steps to follow to make this happen correctly?

Uhm, no. Animaluk was running into very frequent crashes no one else was experiencing, really. For you, applying the 1.05c patch over the game should be well enough.

In order to successfully install the patch I had to disable the Vista User Account Control. Thanks to Yoppy who sent me to the thread where this is explained.

If you need the same assistance goto the following thread, there are two different methods explained, based on your version of vista.

calvinus wrote:- The max duration for events choice procedure is now set to 10 minutes

I started a single player game as Germany in the 4 player 1916 Grand Campaign, and I noticed I was given less than 2 minutes before a choice was automatically made for me during the events choices.

I understand why during multiplayer games you don't want people taking forever making their choices, but why is there a time limit for event choices in the single player game? :bonk:

I prefer to take my time when making decisions (read dilly dally :o ), it's one of the reasons why I like turn based games. :D

Use the Options (Esc) to alter this (or directly into the WW1.opt file, in section "EventPopupsTimer=...." where you can change the duration) ;)

Thanks for that info. I reckon 10 minutes is more than long enough for even a slow poke like me :D

Is the 1.05c a comprehensive patch? i.e. the only one I need. Merci
