Serbia & Great Britain

Thu Nov 20, 2008 12:47 pm

How is it Serbia doesn't get to choose a warplan in the Aug. 1914 preturn? And why doesn't she have any diplomats?

Also, GB has joined the Allies, but also has no diplomats. Really?

Only the 4 majors starting the war choose warplans. Serbia is only a minor country.

And GB will get diplomats in later turns, then you can "produce" more during the Interphase.

And how about Romania? They had their own famous warplan: Hypothesis Z (the Schlieffenplan of the Balkans!).

:D

Only A-H, Germany, France, and Russia selects warplans at the very start of the Grand Campaign. Period.

A neat mod would be for the Balkan Wars of 1912-13. At that point, having a variety of war plans for the various countries would be interesting, given the rapidity with which those nations turned on one another.

When does GB enter the war? Is it only thru diplomacy or is the date set to the historical entrie. What is the Historical enter date by the way?

Absolutely diplomacy! No fixed or scripted date!!!
And the German warplan greatly influences it!

And how I love it: I choosed the Kronprinz plan, not invading neutral countries, the Brits stayed neutral and in parts seem even in favour of the Central powers (by October 1914...), even without diplomatic efforts - I actually didn't bother to sent any as I also assumed their entrance will be inevitable (as other posts had suggested). And finally I just now start to be able and read the diplomatic screen :D

I just wonder what I shall now do with the Blockade Runner event that I kept from the start, but that's adifferent topic... :bonk:

I better, get better at understanding the Diplomacy aspect of it all - I am way behind the power curve(I think) on "Pushing" the Brits. :D

Thanks, for the reply.
